Malta’s Recovery and Resilience Plan: What’s in it for You?

The Recovery and Resilience Facility, in effect since February 19, 2021, finances reforms and investments in EU Member States from the start of the pandemic in February 2020 until December 31, 2026. To benefit, governments submit plans outlining reforms and investments, with at least 37% for green measures and 20% for digital measures. Funding is performance-based, tied to achieving milestones. Malta’s plan, approved in late 2021, allocates €345 million, with 54% for climate-related expenditure and 26% for digitalization. Grants will enable implementation, including schemes supporting digitalization and energy-efficient projects for businesses.
