Job Mobility and Skills Portability in the Maltese Market

One of the major characteristics of the labour market in recent years is the high level of job mobility caused by an increasing demand for labour and shortages of such labour in many sectors of the economy.
The Malta Employers’ Association, together with FOR.U.M. Unions Maltin, are organising a seminar on Friday, 10th November 2017 at the Corinthia Palace Hotel & Spa, Attard with the the theme: “Job Mobility and Skills Portability in the Maltese Market”.
The seminar will look into different aspects of the issue of job mobility at EU and national level, with experts from the private sector, unions and government. Among the topics discussed through presentations and panel discussions will be:
- the extent of job mobility in Malta and the EU;
- employee retention policies; the accreditation of informal learning and portability of skills;
- foreign workers in Malta, with representatives from Jobs Plus and Identity Malta.
