Michael Mifsud

Michael Mifsud, is a warranted Engineer and holds an Electrical Engineering (Hons) degree and a Masters in Business Administration. During his long involvement with FDI companies he has gained a precious insight of worldclass operations and global commerce.

Michael was appointed CEO of Multigas in July 2009. Multigas is a Maltese registered company whose roots date back to 1926. Today, Multigas supplies medical and industrial gases and equipment, serving a wide variety of sectors within the Maltese market. Ing. Mifsud has focused on consolidating the company’s credentials by strongly encouraging employee empowerment and development. In fact Multigas maintains various certifications including EU GMP (Medical: Good Manufacturing Practice), TPED (Transportable Pressure Equipment Directive), ISO 18000 (Health & Safety), ISO 22000 (Food Safety), ISO 9000 (Quality) and the recently acquired IMS (Integrated Management System).

Prior to this appointment, Michael has occupied senior management positions in two globalised multinationals, namely Dowty (now Trelleborg) and Carlo Gavazzi. During this period, he has been initially involved in the development of polymer seal business for automotive customers and later played a key role in the conception, development and marketing of electronic components for industrial automation. Michael has recently followed specialised studies in cryogenics and superconductivity in the UK.

Michael is married to Liliana nee Sammut and has three daughters Sarah, Susannah and Sophie.
