Dott.ssa Alexia Frendo B.Psy (Hons.) Malta, M.Sc (Rome) is an organizational psychologist who has worked in the HR sphere both in Malta and abroad for the past seventeen years. She graduated in psychology from the University of Malta in 2002. In 2005 Alexia completed an academic and practical Masters programme in Work and Organizational Psychology at the University of Rome, La Sapienza.

Currently, Alexia is a Lead HR Business Partner within the Kindred Group. She is an accomplished HR professional with over 17 years’ experience in the private sector. Alexia works with an international HR Team whom together enable managers to recruit, train and retain a high performing and motivated workforce. The HR Team focuses on developing and implementing on-boarding, training and development, performance management, employee retention, benefits management and employee relations policies and strategies. 

Alexia provides guidance and leadership to senior managers, paying particular attention to retention. She is also responsible for a number of initiatives that contribute to the Culture and Employee Experience, ensuring that Kindred is the Best Place to Work. She works closely with Engagement Groups set in different locations to ensure that the employee’s voice is heard and suggestions are implemented in a timely manner.  

Employee and Customer Experience is as important as having an efficient operation. Workforce Planning is another area delivered by analysing, forecasting, and planning workforce supply and demand, assessing skill gaps, and determining target talent management interventions to ensure that an organization has the right people, with the right skills, in the right places and at the right time. This is to fulfil its mandate and strategic objectives.

Alexia has lectured at the University of Malta and the Foundation for Human Resources Development. Moreover, she carried out research about the labour market for the Centre for Labour Studies (University of Malta).

Alexia is also certified from the SHL Training Academy on Level A Occupational Testing and Level B Occupational Personality Questionnaires. She was also awarded the Professional Certification in Coaching from Henley Business School – University of Henley.

She has been a member of the Malta Association of Work and Organizational Psychology and an HR Committee Member of the Malta Chamber Foundation for a number of years (www.maltachamber.org.mt).
