Maronna Filletti attended secondary school at St. Joseph’s Convent Sliema followed by a secretarial course at the Malta College of Arts, Science & Technology.
She joined the M. Demajo Group in 1978 as secretary to the Chairman and CEO, later served as his Personal Assistant, and in 2005 she was appointed Director with M. Demajo (Services) Ltd with responsibility for the Group’s Human Resources. She also served as an Executive Member on the board of the Group’s ICT Division, Toyshops Ltd and Multipacking Ltd. In 2010 she was appointed Executive Director of Joseph Cachia & Son Ltd, another subsidiary of the M Demajo Group.
Ms Filletti has been Council Member with Malta Employers’ Association since 2004 and a member of the MEA Presidency team for the past 4 years. She is an alternate member on the MEUSAC Core Group representing MEA.
She was also a Director with the Malta Institute of Management and represented employers on the Board of Governors of the Malta Competiton and Consumer Affairs Authority.
Maronna obtained a Diploma in Youth Studies from the University of Malta and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Henley Management College, U.K. Her research topic focused on “Diversity in leadership - Female leadership in family-owned businesses in Malta”. She is involved in philantropic work both in Malta and overseas and enjoys flamenco dancing.
